“Her money drained and her options dwindling, a resolute Hillary Rodham Clinton vowed Wednesday to press on with her presidential bid even as she and top advisers were hard-pressed to describe a realistic path for her to wrest the nomination from Barack Obama.”
That just about says it all right there. Clinton doesn’t stand a chance of overcoming Obama, the Democratic front-runner. Why doesn’t she just quit? That way she could at least save a little dignity and concede with honor after a hard battle. But if she just keeps fighting to the bitter end, she will do nothing but divide the Democratic party, and make herself look even more desperate and power hungry.
To be fair, if I were in her position and had just waged a lengthy and costly presidential campaign, I don’t know how quick I would be to concede. But at this point, it doesn’t look like there’s any thing she could do to come back and get the nomination. Sorry Hillary, your crying just won’t cut it. You did a damn fine job at selling yourself though. So good job at that. But part of playing the game is knowing when to throw in the towel.
